Barrow Bay House is in a private sheltered cove on the water’s edge of Barrow Harbour.
The Atlantic shoulders your arrival along the unforgettable Barrow House driveway, with the Slieve Mish mountains framing the views.
The key item we have in the house is a one-of-a-kind fully restored canopy Chinese Qing dynasty royal marriage bed.
250+ years old, elm and mahogany wooden bed, served as a marriage bed for royal Chinese personage prior to the cultural revolution, before communism and Chairman Mao. Latterly the bed was used as an Opium bed in Hong Kong in the Victorian era. The bed is museum quality and is possibly the only ornate carved Marriage bed available.
It’s perfect for a period drama or fashion shoots!
We are 2 minutes from Tralee Golf Club, 40 mins from Killarney and Kerry International Airport, 2 hours from Cork & Shannon Airports. It's a beautiful 40 minute drive to Dingle via the infamous Conor Pass.
Barrow House is recorded as a Protected Structure in The National Inventory of Architectural Heritage.
