Amy Hughes
In 2014, Amy took on a mammoth challenge of running 53 marathons in 53 consecutive days in 53 different towns and cities around the UK. The aim was to inspire others and to show people the importance of keeping fit and active. In the process she managed to raise over £53,000 for the Isabelle Lottie Foundation. This foundation raises funds and awareness for children with brain tumours.
This incredible achievement led to Amy gaining 27th spot in the Telegraph’s Top 100 Britons of 2014. She also made the Runner’s World Top 5 Running Heroes of 2014 and picked up ‘Running Moment of the Year 2014’ at the prestigious Running Awards.
Since completing 53 Amy has been part of, and worked for, some great sporting events, starred in a TV series, worked on children’s TV shows and various commercial campaigns.
Amy also has her own personal training and sports therapy studio where she offers one to one personal training/ and yoga fitness sessions as well as sports therapy, with a variety of clients including TV stars and international sports personalities.
Amy completed the mammoth challenge of running 521 miles on a treadmill in one week at the beginning of September 2016.
