Bryony Shaw
Bryony Shaw is a British Olympic Windsurfer. She began windsurfing in the south of France in 1992, and as a young teenager took part in watersports activity camps over her summers in West Wales. She attended Cheney Upper School in Oxford where she studied for her A-levels, and did her windsurfing racing at Farmoor reservoir to the west of Oxford.
She won the Bronze Medal in the women's RS:X Class at the 2008 summer Olympics, the first ever women's windsurfer medal for Team GB. She trains at the Weymouth & Portland Sailing Academy. Her discipline requires a power endurance physique, as well as the ability to adapt & perform in a variety of environments.
